DATA POLICY

To comply with the new laws on Data Protection which came into force in May 2018, known as GDPR, the group has agreed a formal data policy.

No personal data held by the group is shared with third parties nor used for purposes unconnected with the activities of the group.  If so requested, information held will be deleted, in which case further contact by that method will cease.

Mailing list:for those who have requested to receive information about the group and its exhibitions, whether by clicking through from the request button on the website or by adding their email to the list available at our exhibitions, the only data retained are the email address and, if the latter has been provided, name. These are stored on a password-protected computer and mailing takes place through a commercial mailing house with full data protection arrangements in place and the opportunity to unsubscribe is provided in each email notice sent.

Occasional contacts:for those with whom the group works from time to time, such as galleries and tutors, only the contact details essential for the transactions involved are retained.  Every care is taken to safeguard this information and to delete it after a reasonable period of time.

Group members: to facilitate communication and to run the affairs of the group, each member’s name, address, telephone number(s) and email address(es) are held and shared with the other members of the group.  Each member is required to treat this information with care and not to share it outside the group without first obtaining the agreement of the member concerned.  Information will only be included on the group’s website if expressly provided to the webmaster for that purpose.
